With recent updates from the government more places are able to open up from this weekend. This includes bowling alley, ice rinks and the long awaited soft play centres. For the past few weeks I have been sharing ideas on things to do. As well as sharing ideas over on my facebook page I am also running a series of giveaways. Things to do this weekend

Pay & Play Watersports and Cycle Hire @ Nene Outdoors – There’s something for all ages and abilities, choose from: Swan Pedalos, Open Canoes, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, Row Boats, Dinghies and Cycle hire.

The activities are available between 11am and 6pm each day for drop-in hire at Nene Outdoors. Advance bookings can be made for swan pedalos and cycle hire on our online booking system: https://neneparktrust.cloudvenue.co.uk/home
Take part in Nene Parks Six Weeks of Summer event – Every Saturday a new clue is released on Nene Park’s website and social media. These will range from puzzles, riddles or picture clues which will lead you to a landmark within the park. To have a chance of winning register your details on the the online booking system.

Recently opened up attractions

Hollywood Bowl @ Bretton – From midday Saturday, Hollywood bowl will be opening up. Bookings are being taken online, games from £5.74 for juniors and £7.29 and adults.
Planet Ice @ Bretton – Public skate between 11am and 6pm for £12.10 (non members) booking are being taken online too!
Visit a soft play centre –  at the moment Big Sky and Activity World are remaining closed, however Safari Adventure Play are opening up! Booking is being made online.
Visit a country park –  We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by country parks. With Nene Park in Orton, Cuckoos Hollow in Werrington and Crown Lakes in Farcet. We also have lovely lakes to walk in the Hamptons and the nature reserve in Stanground Wash. You really don’t have to venture too far to be surrounded by wildlife.
Take in a movie at The New Theatre – This weekends film choices are Dora and the lost city of gold, Book Club, Addams Family and Mama Mia.
Walk the scarecrow trail  – Collect the map from the bluebell pub in Werrington and see if you can spot all the scarecrows!!
Feed the ducks – Visit The Embankment and take a stroll, feed the ducks and then pop into The Chalkboard at The Key Theatre for tea and cake.
Exotic Pet Refuge Open Day on Sunday!! – Tickets have sold out however they have some to buy on the door so to speak! It is the first open day of 2020 and it looks to be a great one!! 102 Station Rd, PE6 8RH Deeping St James. Open days run from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Entry costs just £6 for Adults, and £3 for children.

The Dogs Play Co – Stay & Play session (for dogs) @ Crofts corner, Bretton – Stay & Play Session are social play dates with other dogs. These are held every Sunday at Dog Park – Crofts Corner, in Bretton.
So if you are looking for something different to do with your dog then why not bring them along for a good PLAY! It costs just £7 per dog with £1 going to help support Animal Helpline Dog Rescue
