The boys and I are really getting into baking and we are finding so many recipes. I wanted to share this one with you, a really simple Fork Biscuits recipe. It uses 3 ingredients that can all be found in your cupboard. It doesn’t take long to prepare and bake and it can be made by children of all ages. Younger children will love getting involved and mixing the ingredients together. Older children will enjoy measuring out the ingredients.

Homemade Fork Biscuits recipe
Ingredients
To make the homemade fork biscuits you will need the following ingredients;
- 100g softened butter
- 50g caster sugar
- 150g Self raising flour
Method
- Line a baking tray with grease proof paper and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar until it is all well combined and fluffy looking.
- Add the flour and keep mixing it altogether gently until well combined
- I found mixing it altogether with your hands is best. You want the mixture to form a dough.
- Roll walnut sized pieces and place them onto your baking tray
- Fill a cup with cold water and dip your fork into the water. Gently press down on each ball of biscuit dough to leave a fork imprint.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown
- Pop onto a wire rack to cool

Our biscuits turned out really well next time I make them I am going to make double the amount of biscuits with the same mixture. I think ours was a little too thick so they turned out more like cakes than biscuits however they were still really tasty!
