At the time Treads had not long been going and at the point they had a limited selection of shoes to choose from and only “boy” styles available. Fast forward 2 years and they have evolved into a “girl” section with a wider range of shoes. Still offering the incredible 12 month guarantee.

Yup, 12 months guarantee on each and every school shoe from Treads. It is pretty unique in the sense that no other school shoe company offers such a guarantee on their products. The big question is, do they actually fulfil the guarantee and how easy is it to claim? Well, we unfortunately had to make a claim with one pair of the shoes. It was around 11 months into using them and the Velcro on one of the shoes had split. At the time I sent them a message on Twitter, although now as they are larger, you would need to send an email. They responded and sent out the exact same pair of shoes, no quibble, no fuss, just like that. I did send them the picture (I will post below for you to see) and they were more than happy to use it.

So what did we think?

That was back in 2018 and I thought they were such great value, I went on to buy 3 pairs for September 2019. Just like the first lot, they are still in great condition, especially considering the owners are 3 energetic, full of like boys!! I am still really impressed with the overall quality of Treads School Shoes especially considering the costs, £45 a pair!

With the Dual Fit Technology which comes as standard in ALL shoes, they are built to last, making more room if needed within the shoes. Underneath the shock absorbing removable insole is a removable foot bed. The Foot bed can be taken out to allow for a wider foot or to give an extra half size if needed. Perfect if you needed to buy a pair mid school year and wanted to make the most of them!

As we are coming up to the final term, I wanted to share with you a photo of what the shoes look like today. If I say to you that Treads School Shoes should last, that I can evidence it too. So these shoes were brought by me in Aug 2019 for the new school year, I know we have had a couple of months off school however as long as they don’t have a super growth spurt, these will last until the end of term.
