What is it with children and half term? It’s like something has switched inside of them to become sudden gannets. My 3 boys eat like it is going out of fashion so half term is always a bit of a struggle. I always like to make sure our fruit bowl is full. We have one rule in our house, you can eat anything from the fruit bowl at any time. The boys like having the freedom to help themselves and I know they won’t fill up on it. Mark and I are also off this week so we are going to make the most of it! Lunches are going to be simple, sandwiches, beans on toast, soup etc.

Our meal plan
First up for dinner this week is sweet pulled pork, chips and brioche rolls. I am really looking forward to this, we haven’t had it in such a long time! The boys are going to have Burgers and chips and I am going to add in a little lego figure to make little happy meals. They love it when I do this. Roast Chicken Dinner we haven’t had a roast this week, so we are going to have a midweek roast! I am really looking forward to it! Another favourite of ours is Toad in the hole, I am not entirely sure whether I am going to cheat and use ready made Yorkshire puddings or not.

No doubt we will probably be having Tuna Pasta Bake at some point, Jack and I enjoy making this together. As it is Mark’s week off we are going to have Fry Up for an evening meal, with all the works, mushrooms, fried bread, the whole shebang! Last but not least Spaghetti Bolognaise with Garlic Ciabatta Bread. My mum has given me a jar of bolognaise sauce, it has been such a long time since we last used a jar, however it needs using up.

It is so nice to see little ones cooking in the kitchen! Hope you’re all keeping well and thanks for linking up!
My kids don’t like tuna, I wish they did because I do love a tuna pasta bake. I wonder if I could try it with another fish, and see.
I love getting mine to help in the kitchen.
