Meal Planning Monday – W/c 17th July 2017 – The Mum Diaries

It seems like yesterday since I started writing Meal Planning Monday. Last week’s meal plan  was mainly on plan with a few “odd” days. The boys received a great school report so they were able to choose what we had for tea. Oliver is a little obsessed with Chinese food at the minute so it was no surprise that is what he wanted. Jack was having an inner battle between McDonalds and Chinese. He could have had either as I was more than happy to make a special trip to McDonalds for him. He has worked really hard this year so deserves it. In the end he chose Chinese and that is what we ate on Wednesday.

I think the more I take part in these meal plans the more I realise how much I still have to learn. There were so many opportunities to take photos of what we ate but it wasn’t until I was half way through the meal did that thought cross my mind. Oh well live and learn.

Last week we went to Hamerton Zoo and we took a picnic with us! Over the summer we will be having picnics most days I can imagine! The boys love it as do I.

Chicken Roast Dinner as we for some reason we didn’t have this yesterday!

Last Football and Cubs until they go back to school so quick and easy dinner is needed. They are having a lovely cooked dinner at school so they can have sandwiches tonight. Mark and I however will have homemade pulled pork as we didn’t have this last week. They boys are not keen on the pulled pork so the perfect opportunity for us to have it.

Spaghetti and Meatballs with garlic bread.

Burgers and Chips for Mark, Jack and I and Fish fingers for Oliver and Arthur.

Sausage, Mash and Peas with Onion Gravy
