We were gifted with a couple of items from the new Scooby Doo toy range.
I know, I can’t believe it either! 50 years since the very first episode of Scooby Doo hit our screens! However, the meddling kids are back, with a brand new animated movie and toy range from Character Options. The boys and I were super excited when the parcel arrived on our doorstep. I spent much of my childhood watching Shaggy, Daphne, Fred, Scooby Doo and Velma ride around in the Mystery Machine. Going on their adventures and uncovering the mysteries of the unknown. Then there is the ever so popular catchphrase “I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for those meddling kids!”.
The Mystery Machine and Multi Figure Pack!
The brand new movie is set to launch in the US and is coming to the UK soon! As soon as I hear, I will update the post. To celebrate Character Options have released a great toy line which includes;
- Scoob Action Figure Multi Pack
- Scoob Mystery Machine
- and, Scoob Twin Packs
- Scoob Mystery Mansion
- Plush Scooby Figures
- Super Stretch Scoob!
Scooby Doo Toys
The boys were sent The Mystery Machine and Scoob Action Figure Multi Pack to unbox and play. Arthur and Oliver were both really excited to get into the boxes and have a play! The Scoob Mystery Machine will need a screwdriver to separate it from its packaging, frustrating as it wasn’t something I had expected. Both toys were big hits for the boys and they spent ages playing with them.
I love toys that spark imagination and especially ones that can be played with multiple children. The Mystery Machine impressed me, the plastic didn’t feel too flimsy and feels like it could withstand children playing. The only downside has been with one of the Shaggy dolls. Not entirely sure what happened to it, however the foot on one seems to have snapped the toes of one of the feet.
I love how The Mystery Machine opens out to create a larger play area. Each side slots back together when needed too! The roof of the cab lifts off to allow the characters to sit behind the wheel too. The top of the van features mystery solving equipment however it’s a shame that these do not come off. Scooby Doo that came with the multi pack doesn’t really fit in the front of the van either, you can get him on the front seat, but not actually sitting properly. It hasn’t stopped the boys enjoying the toys though.
