Healthy and Delicious Juice Drinks – Appy Kids Co – Review

     The Mum Diaries      16 Comments

The boys love a pouch drink and they don’t get to have them often. But when it is the weekend we do tend to be a little more relaxed and they are able to have the treat. I was sent a selection of juice drinks from Appy Kids Co which is 100% Natural and lower in sugar. The boys were really excited and even more so when I showed them who was on the packaging. Minions and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ollie’s favourite!)

The boys received a few boxes of the Appy 200ml drinks. They featured Minions (Tropical) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Multifruit). They love watching both sets of the characters on TV and knew instantly who they were. Ollie absolutely loved the Ninja Turtles. It is his all time favourite programme so to have a drink with them on made his day. Arthur loved Minions and again was really excited to have a drink pouch featuring Stewart, Kevin and Bob! Jack was indifferent with them both but excited all the same.

Minions – Lower in Sugar – Tropical Juice – Green Apple, Orange, Peach, Apricot, Banan, Mango, Passion Fruit, Stevia

TMNT -100% Natural and Lower in Sugar –  MultiJuice – Apples, Oranges, White Grapes, Pineapple, Lemons, Peaches, Mangoes, Apricots, Melons, Stevia

What makes these drinks different?

We all had a try of the drinks and I was eager to see if they tasted different to other brands. Appy Drinks Co uses Stevia to sweeten the drinks. It is a more natural sweetener and free from colourings and flavourings. To me they just tasted great,  you wouldn’t know it was sweetener instead of sugar in the drinks. I certainly couldn’t taste the difference and neither could the boys. They were more than happy to drink them and asked for more.

Stevia Sweetener is made using a leaf from the Stevia plant. It is a natural sweetener which is better for your teeth!

We love them!

The drinks are well received in our house and because they are more natural and healthier than other options I am more than happy to let them drink them. There are lots of other characters available such as Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer and The Gruffalo.

The Appy Drinks range is available from Tesco, Ocado and Whole Foods.

I use Stevia for my iced tea and its very refreshing….but it doesn’t translate well in iced coffee for some reason.
    Natural sugar is the best….

I love discovering drinks that are full of natural juices. Stevia is a plus! I know of Stevia and prefer to have it drinks rather than added sugar. Stevia can be used in so many recipes. Sugar addiction is incredibly high it seems. This is healthier choice for everyone.

My kids love these! We tried them recently and although I’m sure they taste a lot like the other drinks they have, the packaging won them over!

However, we need some more meal ideas to try and change things up. Do you have any suggestions?
