I am often asked where is the best place to visit to see the lambs and maybe even have the opportunity to feed them. So I thought I would put together a guide on where to feed and see lambs this spring in Peterborough.
When visiting baby lambs it is important to adhere to any rules that the farm has in place. This is not only to protect you but also to protect the baby lambs too.
As per Government guidelines pregnant women should be careful to avoid close contact with animals giving birth. They are advised to
* Not help to lamb ewe, provide assistance with a cow that is calving or a nanny goat that is kidding.
* Avoid Contact with aborted or new-born lambs, calving or kids or with the afterbirth, birthing fluids or materials (e.g. bedding) contaminated by such birth products;
* Avoid handling (including washing) clothing, boots or any materials that may have come into contact with animals that have recently given birth, their young or afterbirths;
* Ensure partners attending lambing ewes or other animals giving birth take appropriate health and hygiene precautions, including the wearing of personal protective equipment and adequate washing to remove any potential contamination.

Where to feed and see lambs this spring
Chester House, Wellingborough
Chester House are currently offering lamb feeding alongside a GIANT easter egg hunt and a chocolate workshop ticket all for £15. Running from the 5th april to the 27th april, during school holidays and weekends. There are lots of opportunities to take part!

Bowthorpe Park
From the 5th April to the 21st April you can come and visit a real working farm at Lambing time. Bowthorpe Park’s lambing shed will be full of ewes ready to give birth.
Each group is allocated 15 minutes to have a lamb handling session, there is no feeding but you can give them a cuddle.
Prices are £9.50 each and can be booked here
And for Half Term Bowthorpe Park are hosting bottle feeding sessions. For £17.50, you will be allocated a lamb and a bottle to feed. Once the lamb has finished feeding you can then enjoy a cuddle.
Church Farm Stow Bardolph
Church Farm lambing runs between 15th Feb to 2nd May. The activity is part of the usual normal farm activities and as such there is not a prebookable event. Bottle Feeding happens every day from 10.30, 12.30, 2.30, and 4pm.

Skylark Easter Funyard
Skylark Easter Funyard are offering lamb feeding alongside a whole host of other activities. You can feed the lambs, get hands on with the rabbits, enjoy a comedy show, complete the Easter egg hunt plus lots of other things to do.
Skylark is open from 10am to 5pm, 5th-21st April and tickets are available from £16 per child and £14 per adult. You can buy tickets here.
West Lodge Farm Park
West Lodge Farm Park currently offer lamb feeding as an additional activity to do whilst visiting the farm, along side lots of other things to do. Prices vary and there are additional charges for some activities too which is bookable when you arrive at the park.

Sacrewell Farm
Sacrewell are offering VIP Lambing Experiences, giving you the opportunity to visit after hours monday to friday (5.30pm-7pm). The experiences cost £150 for a group of 8. Sacrewell are only hosting one group per session, and within each group 6 people will be interacting with the lambs and 2 spectators.
Sacrewell are also offering a guided tour of the farm where you will learn about their rare breed animals and have the opportunities to ask questions.
