Visit the continental market – Expect to find a mix of international food, drink and craft options from a range of countries. Popular food options will include Greek Gyros, Pad Thai, Baklava and Brownies with this all complimented by a range of quirky craft and gift items.

The market will be open from 10:00-18:00 Thursday to Saturday and 10:00-17:00 Sunday. Most importantly it will all be in a Covid Secure manner with social distancing measures in place to ensure that it can be enjoyed in a safe manner.

Summer Reading Challenge – It isn’t too early to get started on the summer reading challenge! Visit here for more information and register.

The Summer Reading Challenge, presented by The Reading Agency, is delivered in partnership with public libraries and funded by Arts Council England. The Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to enjoy the benefits of reading for pleasure over the summer holidays, providing lots of fun as well as preventing the summer reading ‘dip’.

Each year the Challenge motivates over 700,000 children to keep reading to build their skills and confidence.

This year, the Summer Reading Challenge’s Silly Squad will celebrate funny books, happiness and laughter. Children taking part in the Challenge will join the Silly Squad, an adventurous team of animals who love to have a laugh and get stuck into all sorts of funny books!

Go Swimming! – Peterborough City Council and Vivacity have worked together to get our city’s swimming pools open. Whether you are a vivacity member or not, you can book a timed slot online to go and enjoy a swim.

It’s £4.60 for 45 minutes in the water. You need to arrive “beach ready” that is already wearing your swimming clothes and a towel. Book your swimming slot here.

Go on a Treasure Trail – For £9.99 you can buy and download (or receive a printed copy) a map which takes you on a trail around the city centre. Are you looking for something to do with family and friends or seeking a fun day out with the kids in Peterborough?

Then why not explore Peterborough on this self-guided Murder Mystery themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the Trail route, can you solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments to eliminate the suspects to discover whodunit?

This non-circular Trail starts in the Car Haven car park and takes you through the key attractions of central Peterborough. Enjoy the green spaces, the river and the historic streets of the city centre before finishing at the doorstep of Peterborough Cathedral.

Eat Out To Help Out – and don’t forget Monday to Wednesday restaurants and cafes in Peterborough signed up to the government scheme are offerering 50% off up to the value of £10 per person. For a list of participating restaurants click here.
