One of the many things I was looking forward to doing with Jack on the run up to September was uniform shopping. I loved the experience when I was younger, being able to choose which trousers I wanted, my shoes and then my stationery. With Jack though, I am pretty sure he could think of 101 better things he could be doing with his time. Like most schools around the city there is only 1 place to buy logo’d uniform, and that is at Total Clothing.
I was able to get online and book an appointment with Total Clothing for the next day. You can of course walk in, however this way we were guaranteed to get seen. It also meant we could get everything sized and bought at the same time. The whole booking process was really easy and I would recommend doing this if you are looking at buying uniform. We arrived a little early for our appointment however as there was only one car in the car park we thought we would head in and see if we could be seen any earlier.

The lady who we saw was lovely and polite, if not a little rushed. It could have been because we were early though. There was only one other family in the showroom though. She explained that due to Covid we were unable to actually try on any uniform. However there is a policy in place to allow for any exchanges up until September. Which was a relief, because then if Jack was to have a growth spurt we didn’t need to buy replacements. We could then get the uniform bought and packed away for the summer. So instead of trying on uniform, it was measured against him. She obviously knew her sizing’s and was able to pretty much get the right sizes every time. Which obviously cut down waiting times too!
The lady kitted Jack out with a blazer, ties and a full PE tracksuit and top. It was a really painless process. All in all we were in and out in 10 minutes and over a £100 lighter! Jack’s uniform however is nearly done! I had bought his shirts and trousers from other places, so its just PE trainers, School shoes, Bags and stationery needed now! Thankfully Oliver and Arthur don’t need uniform or PE kit, just shoes and trainers!
If you were thinking of getting your uniform sorted then Total Clothing have recently released more slots for August. They can guarantee delivery of uniform if bought before 13th August.
