Halloween Trail @ Queensgate Shopping Centre – 10am-4pm – FREE – Take part in a FREE trick or treat trail around the city centre between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 26th October, when maps detailing six shops and businesses hiding Halloween characters will be available to pick up from the museum. Dress up in your most fang-tastic costumes and follow the trail map through to find spooky characters. Solve each character’s tricks and be rewarded with various treats including offers from participating businesses on food and drinks, free wizard craft activities, and, of course, traditional trick or treat sweets!

Young Heritage Rangers Week @Nene Park – This FREE week-long experience is for young people aged 14 to 17 years old, interested in history, art, nature and the great outdoors.

Archery – @ Nene Park – Unleash your inner Robin Hood or Maid Marian! Our archery sessions are 45 minutes long and take place at Nene Outdoors. Sessions are £12 per person and suitable for ages 8 and over.  We’re also running a Women’s Archery Taster Session and Adults Taster Session on the same date for grown-ups looking to try something new!

Family Gardening at Nene Nursery @ Nene Park –Come along and join us between 10.30am and 12pm to take part in a variety of seasonal gardening activities, suitable for all ages and abilities. Tools, gloves and refreshments provided (children to be accompanied). It’s £5.50 per child (adults and under 5s free).

Living History event @ Longthorpe Tower – Delve into the past with our costumed history enthusiasts as they bring to life the traditions from a medieval Christmas. Discover how the festive season was celebrated 600 years ago, with yuletide feasts, medieval games and an opportunity to take part in a traditional Mummer’s play! – Tickets are £10 each, with timed entry every 30 minutes from 10am until 3.30pm. Living history demonstrations will run throughout the day, with Mummer’s Plays at 11am, 1pm and 3.30pm.

Accessibility | The Sculpture Garden is mostly accessible to wheelchair users but please be aware that some of the paths are gravel and some of the open areas are undulated without pathways.

I'm not ready for this, to have all my children in secondary school and no one left in primary. It's been a journey, but boy is he ready for his next adventure!
