Last week Mark and I were invited by Serpentine Green to come and do some of our christmas shopping. Not passing up the opportunity for a few hours of child-free shopping we couldn’t wait.Serpentine Green is our closest shopping centre. With over 2000 car parking spaces, 20 stores plus food outlets and as well as stands it is becoming one of the top places to shop in Peterborough. It has recently have major development and looks stunning!
Our shopping trip
We decided to head to Serpentine Green during the week after work. It meant we could catch the christmas lights and see the magnificent tree standing proud outside. I had driven past it a few times on route to the petrol garage but it was Mark’s first time. Certainly worth a visit in the evening when it gets dark.
Our top gifts
It was really difficult to choose our favourite gifts. There were literally so many to suit everybody!

I love this Christmas Jumper from Game! Perfect for gamers!
Save the Oceans -Personalised Book
One of our most favourite buys from our trip was this personalised book. It is such a beautiful story which tells children the importance of looking after our oceans. With it being such a huge hot topic, it is one that children are never to young to hear.
Friends Lego Set
Both Game and Tesco were selling the Friends Lego Set.
Harry Potter Invisability Cloak
I saw this for the first time at a blogging conference and it was such a hit! Jack and Arthur both love Harry Potter and I know they would love this.
Bamboo travel mug
I am always trying to find ways to be less wasteful and help others too. The Bamboo Travel Mug from The Works was £4 and would be really useful for commuters, school runs, and busy parents/carers especially with new babies!
Sweets
Poundland has a great range of sweets perfect for stocking fillers! Mark and I bought some for the boys ready for Christmas!
Handbags and accessories
What Serpentine Green has is an abundance of clothing shops! Outfit it self is home to several brands such as Evan’s, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, Top Man. As well as River Island, Tesco, H&M and New Look. There are a great range of handbags, purses and accessories.
DVD’s
There has been so many DVD releases this year! And with the price of family tickets at Cinemas it is a more family budget friendly to buy DVDs. One of the ones on Arthur’s Christmas list this year is the new Horrible Histories DVD!
Alcohol!
Serpentine Green is home to Tesco and Mark’s and Spencer. Both have a fantastic range of alcohols for both gifting and drinking over the Christmas holidays.
