The boys have been swimming with Vivacity swim academy now for a few months (16 weeks) . As promised I thought I would share an update on their progress.

Arthur – Stage 1 (Red Cap)
Arthur is still on stage 1 (red cap) however I knew that it would take awhile for him to progress. Vivacity has an online course checker which is useful to check their progress (if the instructor actually updates it! I will explain this with Jack)Arthur loves swimming and it is something he is really looking forward to each week. He is on roughly 75% and already received a puffin badge for swimming 5m!
Oliver – Stage 1 (Red Cap)
Oliver is like duck to water! He is sat on 94% so we are hoping he progresses onto Stage 2 (yellow cap) before the end of the year. I am rather confused that he hasn’t received a puffin award yet although he has reached the 5m target too!
Jack – Stage 4 (Green Cap)
Jack has progressed so quickly in such a short time. We struggled with checking his progress due to his instructor not updating the portal. It became really frustrating to know where he was at. When I queried it with reception they said it was because he didnt have the iPad, however Jack had the same instructor for at least 5 weeks and he never updated it.I decided to move his group and we got a different instructor who then moved him soon after.
Overall
I still have a love hate relationship with Vivacity Swim Academy. Prices have increased £2 a month per child, despite having 2 sessions cancelled this month. However there is no denying the boys are enjoying it and they’re confidence has come on tenfold! I do prefer our early morning classes than I did when they were after school. It is alot less rushing around after swimming and we can just get on with our day.
