Not going to lie it has been a super while since I last updated my blog and you maybe thinking I have been a bit MIA. I have really missed keeping it up to date and sharing news, reviews and updates with you all. Life has just been, well you know, manic! So it it is the summer holidays and the perfect time to catch up, and restart my blog.
MIA – Where have I been?
So the big question, where have I been? and in all honesty I haven’t been anywhere. There has been a lot of personal things happening behind the scenes that at the moment I really don’t want to get into. I have been putting a lot of my time and energy into my day job and you know raising 3 boys is hard work in itself. However, we are all okay, we are just toddling along doing our thing and hoping to catch a break at some point.
Home Update
So the boys are all older and I am finding there isn’t much for them to do at this age. Jack turns 15 this year! Oliver turns 13 and Arthur is turning 11. I can’t believe how quickly life has gone to be honest. We all joke and say that time flies, but it really does. The boys are all becoming young men and it is crazy how much they have changed. Jack in all honesty is pretty fab, I was expecting the smelly teen stage but he is actually wanting to look after himself and he is doing well.
Over the Easter holidays we had a bedroom move around and now Jack has his own room. The layout is still not 100% however, splitting them up is probably the best thing we have done. Oliver and Arthur are now sharing and as they are still at an age where they play with toys, their room is soo full of things it is constantly messy. But, all 3 of them are getting along so much better since the split.
Work Update
I am still working in Early Years, there isn’t a lot I can publicly post about my job, my feelings about my job or really how it is going as I get into trouble for doing so. However, I am still employed, I have risen in the ranks and now a Deputy Manager and in September I will be starting my 4th year. So yeah, it is all going and progressing.
Blog Update
So as I mentioned I am planning on restarting the blog and to post more regularly. Back in the day it was the go to for school holiday events and activities and for local reviews and news and I miss that. So I am going to try and get back to my roots of being local and sharing local things with you all.
I am also aware I have a lot of followers and readers who are not local to Peterborough, So I will continue to share days out, recipes (maybe?), budgeting Ideas and so on. I am all for sharing ways to save money daily to enjoy those days with family more. What do you think? Let me know what you want to read.
We are planning a few little getaway trips so travel is also something that we are going to focus on too, sharing staycations and places to visit as a family of 5 with older children. I do have some posts coming from our stay at Warwick Castle, Madhatters Camping and some days out we have had over the year too.
