Happy Wedding Day Ste and Simone!

     The Mum Diaries      1 Comment

Last week I took the boys and my mum to Rochdale for a family wedding. Mark didn’t come with us as at the time we wasn’t quite sure what the car situation would be. We had booked a night in a premier inn and we decided to drive home the following day. We wanted to make the most of the wedding and spending time with family. Especially as it had been so long since I last saw my brother, let alone meeting my new sister in law and nieces!!

The Wedding

The wedding was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The boys behaved wonderfully especially as I spent the entire ceremony taking photos as well as being the bridal car driver so having to pick the bride and bridesmaids up. So the boys spent the majority of the afternoon with family rather than me.

Once we arrived at the reception we were able to fully relax and the boys had a lovely time playing with cousins. Stephen and Simone had organised a bunch of children’s activities for them all and the glow sticks were a raving success.

The food!

As Stephen and Simone are vegans the menu was completely vegan too! I was so looking forward to eating the entire menu! I was a little unsure how the boys would cope, those that know them, know how plain and boring they are. However the pasta, rice and chocolate cake went down a real treat!

Family

I have gained a sister and 3 nieces and couldn’t be happier! They are all so beautiful and after spending just one afternoon with them all, it was a sad moment saying goodbye. I am really looking forward to seeing them all again especially when my new baby niece arrives in a few months!

A week on, and I am still looking at the photos and it all still makes me happy! I can not be any happier for my brother and his family and I hope they have many more happy years ahead of them!

However, we need some more meal ideas to try and change things up. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm not ready for this, to have all my children in secondary school and no one left in primary. It's been a journey, but boy is he ready for his next adventure!

I hope everyone got the options they wanted!
