We didn’t go camping as much as we would have liked in 2022 so our plan for 2023, is to make the most of it! Mark has had some whole issue thing at work which has meant we haven’t been able to book anywhere yet and we won’t be able too for a couple more weeks. However I have begun planning the sites we want to stay on, the dates will have to come later.
2023 Camping plans
Mad Hatters Camping and Glamping – Are you even surprised? 2023 will mark our 5th stay and we come back year after year. We don’t like travelling too far for our first camp trip and as we can’t use our garden to pitch the tent. So Mad Hatters for us is perfect!
New Sites
Last year we stayed in a lot of sites we had visited before, so this year I want to look into new sites to explore.
Laurel Park Campsite – I was desperate to stay here last year, but the dates we needed was booked. So I would love to make a point and stay this year. It looks like a lovely site with a range of animals from donkeys to chickens. The campsite is surrounded by trees and there isn’t any WiFi! So perfect!
Wild Camping
Mark would love to try wild camping, you know proper wild camping, so I am planning on finding some places we can try this out, maybe a small scale site at first to see if the boys (and me!) could handle it! Arthur is really particular about toileting and things, so he is the one who is going to struggle with this I think.
Glamping
We haven’t been glamping for ages so I would like to try and book a night stay glamping or something. I am not sure where, but it would be nice to go.
New Camping Gear!
Mark and I have been window shopping for new gear for our camping. Oliver’s sleeping bag is getting a little small for him, so we need to upgrade him to an adult/teen bag. We also need new sleep mats, Mark has been looking into this and researching the best mats/beds for us.
