We were given complimentary meals at The Empire Great Yarmouth as Great Yarmouth Ambassadors

During our day trip to Great Yarmouth we were booked in for dinner at The Empire. After our trip to The Hippodrome it seemed perfect place to wind down our trip. The Empire Great Yarmouth is owned by Jack Jay, whose family also own The Hippodrome.

The Empire Great Yarmouth

The Empire Great Yarmouth is a must visit place to eat. The building is pretty iconic and is perfectly placed by the top of the promenade. We had a 5pm booking however we did get there a little early and it wasn’t an issue for them to accommodate us. We walked into the building and it looked fabulous.

The boys loved the decor and I couldn’t blame them, everywhere you look there was something to look at. The Empire Great Yarmouth is THE place to be for live music. All throughout August there was live music booked in the evenings. During the day, when we visited there was music playing in the background.

Food at The Empire

Once we found our booths we quickly picked up the way The Empire works. On the table in our booth was a clipboard featuring menus from 3 of the different street food vendors. Each food vendor menu had different options.

On the table is a QR code so you can scan and order online so you don’t need to leave your table. There is a bar to order drinks and if you do get confused then you can also place your order through the bar too. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating, especially when I asked 1000 questions.

The most trickiest part of our visit was choosing what we wanted to eat because it all sounded delicious! We could have ordered the whole menu however we did in the end choose our meals.

Jack chose to order from The Dough Exchange and went with a Pepperoni Pizza.
Oliver being the only vegetarian in the family was thrilled to see a menu purely for vegetarians and vegans. He ordered from Eagle & Cactus. There were so many options on there that he became overwhelmed. He didn’t really fancy the options that were on the children’s menu so instead he ordered Al Pastor tacos and a portion of fries.

The rest of us ordered from The Bun Exchange. Mark went with the XX Burger, I chose a chicken burger and Arthur chose a burger and fries from the kids menu. We did have to ask for this to come without cheese on it as Arthur can be really picky with what he eats.

The food comes out as and when it’s ready, so there is no waiting for the entire order to be ready before you get to eat. This works really well and it meant everyone had hot delicious food. We did have to send Arthur’s burger back, because it came with cheese on, however they were super apologetic and was replaced quickly.

We were all really impressed with the food, it was incredible! Mark commented how filling it was and we all enjoyed our meals. Oliver ended up bringing one of his taco’s home as he couldn’t finish it all.

We all had a wonderful time eating at The Empire Great Yarmouth, the food was delicious and well priced. Inside was just awesome and you can even see the food being cooked in the individual street food kitchens.

The Hippodrome and The Empire have an offer on currently, where you can recieve 10% of your bill at The Empire if you have been to watch a show at the Hippodrome. So make sure to pop in and make use of that offer.

However, we need some more meal ideas to try and change things up. Do you have any suggestions?
