Flip Out Peterborough – A Great time for all!

We were given complimentary entrance to Flip Out Peterborough

When the boys and I were coming up with the things to do during the summer holidays, one place was constantly mentioned. Flip Out! The boys love the place however it isn’t somewhere we often visit. That may all be changing.

Flip Out Peterborough

We were booked into Flip Out Peterborough for the 11am session and arrived at 10.30. The website mentions to arrive early so you can complete a compulsory waiver before your session starts. There is nothing worse than having your time being used up on paperwork. If you book online you can fill this in online and once completed you can reuse on future visits. The boys were given a pair of Flip Out socks as well as a coloured wristband and then shown to watch the instruction video.

The video was just under 5 minutes long, and was really informative. It explains the rules in real simple terms and in quite a funny way too, it certainly had the boys laughing at some parts. Once the video is finished you are then able to go through to spectators area which leads onto the play area.

There is plenty of seating and tables available which was handy. I said to the boys that I would come up and play for the first hour and then I would sit the next hour out. I had some work I needed to catch up on and wanted to make use of the boys being busy and of course the free WiFi too!

As we arrived early we had a little wait which excited the boys even more! As soon as the loudspeaker said they could go they were gone! The first place they went too was the Main Arena. There are so many trampolines with blocks in places for landing. The boys loved freestyling and trying a bit of parkour on it!

The boys spent a lot of their time flitting from the main arena to the gigantic air bag! They loved trying to jump as high as they could into the bag and every time they got back up they had big smiles on their faces!

There are lockers available to hire, I used one which costs me £2 for a 3 hour hire. It is all automatic and cashless too, you don’t get given a key instead you type in your date of birth and then have to select a picture of the same animal you were shown when you signed up for it.

Arenas at Flip Out Peterborough

As I mentioned earlier there are 9 arenas, some of them have a height limit and two area specifically has an age limit.

So the arenas available at Flip Out are;
* Main Arena
* Under 7’s Arena which features ball pool, and a trampoline mini stunt zone
* Large Inflatable Obstacle Course
* Ninja Wipeout – This has a minimum height of 1.2m
* Soft Play – This also has a height restriction and is for under 1.2m
* Ninja Tag
* Virtual Reality Arcade – is suitable for 12yrs+, although this was closed on our visit
* Ninja Obstacle Course
* Airbag!

Membership

You know earlier I mentioned that it may all be changing when it came to how often we would be visiting? Well, that has something to do with the Membership options currently available.

For £9.50 a month you can come and play for an hour a day, every day! Which is fantastic value for money, especially when you take into consideration it is currently £13 for one, 1hour visit. So all you need to do is make one visit a month for you to actually be saving money!

However, we need some more meal ideas to try and change things up. Do you have any suggestions?
