Intro to Elf on the shelf

Intro to what is Elf on the shelf – We all know how busy Santa is this time of year so to help him keep an eye on all the boys and girls he sends his elves to keep watch. When you adopt and name your elf he then gets his special magic. The Magic is what gives the elves the power to travel back to the North Pole each night to update Santa. Upon the elves return he chooses somewhere else to sit. He is never in the same place twice. The elves get up to all sorts of fun and it is a great way to get the children all excited for Christmas.

In reality to keep the spirit alive it is down to us parents to become creative and place the elves around the home. You can choose whether the elves are going to be a bit mischievous or whether they are going to be good by finding somewhere for the elves to be.

I have 2 elves Buddy and Snowflake. Snowflake came to us last year and the boys thought it was great that Buddy had a friend to play with. The boys love finding the elves and it is always a laugh to see what they have been up too.

This year I have created a little helpful list which features 24 themes normally the elf returns to Santa on Christmas Eve.

You can choose to interpret the themes as you wish. For example I know lots of people sit and have a North pole breakfast/dinner when they’re elf arrives. Some write a letter from Santa to welcome the elf back whereas others just like the elves to appear.
