Transitioning to a mum of teens!

How Life Events Affect Property Investment Decisions

Christmas At The Railway with Nene Valley Railway, Peterborough

#blogtober16 – Day 3 – If you won the lotto what would you do?

     The Mum Diaries      4 Comments

Scream? Shout? shut down in utter shock?

I honestly have no idea how I would feel if I won the lotto. It is a scenario I have often thought about who hasn’t?, but in reality I don’t know. One of my thoughts was not to tell anyone, book tickets to go abroad pay for my entire family and hand them out as Christmas gifts.
The other was to buy an entire street of houses for my family. Kind of like a small community there is enough children in our family for a small community school. No idea what I would name it, but our house would overlook everybody else’s. I love them all, but then I thought could I live that close to them all, all of the time.
The other scenario was to put a sizeable amount in each of the boys bank accounts. Enough for them to go to university if they wished, learn to drive and buy a car and also a deposit for a house. We would buy a decent sized house with room to grow and on a plot of land. Mark and I would buy a new car and I would love to extend our family. We often speak about having another baby but the major setback is money.
In reality I would most likely scream, wake Mark (cause lets face it they draw the numbers in the evening) and scream again in his face. I would get him to check, re check and then triple check the numbers. To be told “Hunny! we haven’t matched a single number!!” Yup that’s most likely what would happen! My problem is you have to be in it to win it, and as I don’t buy tickets I doubt I will win!
If you won the lottery what would you do? Would you share it or keep it? Would you tell your partner straight away or would you surprise them?

I love the idea of handing out plane tickets are Christmas presents. It would be really cool to have all your family close by and have your own little school but I think after a while it might make me a little crazy to be so close to everyone!

Lol an entire street for the family, only if you get on with them all! I would probably buy the rest of my family a house as far away as possible!

However, we need some more meal ideas to try and change things up. Do you have any suggestions?
