Meaning of my blog name?
If you have read my first post of Blogtober i did slightly go over the meaning of my blog name.
In 2014 I started to blog, i wanted a name which represented my boys. The blog was going to be about them so I may aswell represent them in the name. One of my favourite rhymes is
What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Slugs and snails
And puppy-dogs’ tails
That’s what little boys are made of
What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice
That’s what little girls are made of
I did a quick search and chose “Slugs and Snails” when i went to register the domain, i couldn’t. So instead went with “Slugs and Snail”
After several months, life became a little more hectic and the blog fell of my radar. I struggled to keep up and I let it slide.
July 2016 and i decided to kick start it back up! The first month went great and i was getting into the swing of things. But the name no longer really took my liking. It took awhile to come up with something else. I wanted a name which represented me, my life aswell as the boys. I wanted to cover all aspects of blogging and not just be another parent blogger. It did take awhile but then “The Mum Diaries” came up. I instantly loved it. To me the name isn’t just about nappies, toys and children, but also about me. About my likes and dislikes.
The Mum Diaries
I registered the domain, and switched all my social links to the new name. The blog has been improving each month, and i am loving it. I recently had a new logo made and it looks great! I am really enjoying writing my posts each evening, sharing what my family enjoy. In the future I hope I continue to enjoy writing my blog.
Where do I see the blog in 1 years time?
I would love to still be writing and sharing photos. Writing more about days outs and craft activities too. I would love to have a complete section in regards to Cloth nappies and other reusable products.

I think the newer name is perfect!

A great name that fits in with what your blogging about! I loved that Rhyme when I was younger too. #Blogtober16
