We were gifted with Tea with Santa experience at Dobbies Peterborough
Last weekend whilst Jack was at a competition with his school, Mark and I took Oliver and Arthur to see Santa. Well, more specifically to have tea with Santa.When the booking was made we were advised to arrive 5-10minutes early.

When we arrived we headed straight towards the restaurant. Rather than using the afternoon tea section which is where I assumed it would be, Tea with Santa was within the main seating area of the restaurant. The area had been sectioned off and looked beautiful.
A little after 4 we were shown to our table where Oliver and Arthur immediately started to colour in the pictures which were waiting for them. There was a colouring sheet, a pack of crayons and a small wooden tree decoration to colour. After about 20 minutes everyone was seated and the elves came round to fill up their cups and ask what drinks mark and I would like. It took a little while for us to receive drinks however we didn’t mind.
The boys really enjoyed their craft activity and it helped to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food. I’m not entirely sure what happened however it took almost an hour for food to be bought to our table and we were the first ones. The food was really lovely and the boys were given good portions! Mark and I had afternoon tea whilst Arthur had Fish Fingers and Oliver Chicken Strips. The elves did their best to try and occupy the families and children and even sang a rendition of Disney’s ‘Let it Go’ and it was really lovely.
It took almost an hour and 40 minutes for everyone to have recieved their meals and finish at which time the elves made a call for Santa. When he arrived there was a huge round of applause and lots of smiles. He was so cheery and looked amazing. Pretty much immediately everyone got up to queue to see him.
At the same time the elves came round with another activity. Decorating a brownie tree! So rather than joining the queue the boys decorated their trees. It was a really lovely way to kill the time and when the queue died down we went to join.
Santa was as jolly as you could imagine him being. He really helped bring the whole event together after the massive delay in receiving food. Which due to the delay meant that there was no time left for Santa to read a story. The elves helped Santa to hand out bags which were named for the children which had their gifts inside. The gifts were not gift wrapped inside the bag.
The boys each recieved a Lego branded gifts. When booking you get to choose from either Lego, Playmobil, GALT, Big Jigs, WOW, Ravensburger and Baker Taylor.
