Modified Nationals Performance and Tuning Show @ Peterborough Arena – Tickets available from £18 – Calling all petrol head and performance car lovers – Modified Nationals Performance & Tuning Shows revs back to the East of England Arena and Events Centre. Family and Friends Volunteering @ Ferry Meadows – 10am and 1pm – Suitable for children 5 years and older – FREE – Make a difference by helping the Rangers out in the Park. Children, couples, grandparents, friends – everybody welcome. All tools and training provided. You just need to bring along lots of enthusiasm. Free event and free car parking for all participants

Nature Tots @ Ferry Meadows – 10am – £3.00 Adults may bring up to two paying children.  Accompanying siblings below the age of 2yrs may attend at no cost. – suitable for children aged 2years plus – A fun monthly outdoor parent and toddler group. Each session has a nature theme and will include a messy craft activity, time to explore the beautiful outdoors, story and songtime. There are two Nature Tots sessions each month, with the second session being a repeat of the first one, so you will only need to book yourself onto one session each month.

Nature Kids @ Ferry Meadows – 9.30am – Suitable for 7-11 year olds – Fun, nature inspired activities for children aged 7 – 11 yrs – £15.00 per day, £60.00 for the week. Learn how to build a shelter, light a fire, and use natural materials in woodland crafts. Different activities every day. Please bring lunch and drinks for the day. We’re going on a bear hunt @ Ferry Meadows – 10.30am and 1.30pm – £4 per child – Suitable for children 3years + – Bring your own teddy bear and join us on a bear hunt. There will be a craft session, followed by storytime and then a walk around Ferry Meadows to find Barney the Bear. we will walk into the woods so may not be suitable for all types of wheelchairs and pushchairs. The Owl and the Pussycat @ The Key Theatre – 1.30pm and 3.30pm -£9 Full Price (inc fees) – Suitable for 3years+ – Approximate running time 55minutes, no intervals – Join Owly-cat and fellow family members, Jumblie and Quangle Wangle Quee, in a story inspired by the nonsense world of Edward Lear. The spongetaneous trio travel to the dolomphious land where the bong tree grows, learning all about the creatures who live there and their curious habits. Harry Potter Workshop @ Stamford Arts Centre, 29 St Marys Street, PE92DL – 9.30-4pm – Ages 5-13years – £20 per child – In partnership with Wildcats Theatre School, a day of excitement themed around the Harry Potter books and films. Meeting Magical Mammals @ Ferry Meadows – 10am – Suitable for 3years +, Each child must have a place – Join Ranger Chris Rollason for a short walk discovering the small mammals that live in the Park. We will hopefully get to see Voles, Mice and Shrews as well as talk about their habitat, diet and identifying features.  Free event –  suggested £2 per person donation. – Not suitable for Pushchairs, buggies or wheelchairs.

Wildlife Day @ Ferry Meadows – 11am – Find out what lives in and around Ferry Meadows. Together with the Wildlife Trust and other conservation organisations, we will be looking a little closer at the wildlife around us. PECT will be here with a tree for you to take home and plant. The Hawk and Owl Trust will be finding out what small mammals become our owl’s tea. Nene Coppicing & Craft will be looking at leaves from trees around the Park with a craft for everyone. The Wildlife Trust will be in the Discovery Den with microscopes for a very close up look at live larvae. They will also be launching their 30 days wild activities. Nene Park staff and volunteers will be trying to find as many different birds and looking closely at the tiniest wildlife in the Pond.

Wildlife Day – Bird Walk @ Ferry Meadows – 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm – As part of Wildlife Day, Join volunteer Howard on a bird walk to count as many different birds as you can in 45 minutes, who will see the most birds, the rarest or the most of one species? You will also learn how to identify different species. Go back to the Discovery Den afterwards to record what you have seen. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Tales From The Trees @ The Key Theatre – 11.30am and 2pm – £9 Full Price (inc fees) – Suitable for children aged 5 years+ and their families – Approximate running time 50 minutes – Trees are awesome! They enchant us with their mystery and beauty, they provide us with food, fuel and wood, they produce oxygen for us to breathe and they inspire stories, myths and legends…  Meet Craig, the friendly Forest Ranger and resident tree expert. It’s his job to make sure the woods are a peaceful and happy place, but he’s having a tough time of it today!
