Holiday Trail @ Ferry Meadows, Nene Park Trust – 10am-3.30pm – 50p per sheet – Collect a trail sheet from the Visitor Centre and then hunt for clues as you walk around Ferry Meadows.  Return to the Visitor Centre to claim your prize.

Half Term Activites @ Sacrewell Farm – 10 am – 3 pm- Normal admission applies, extra costs may be applied to some activities – Venture outdoors and join us for a wild half term at Sacrewell. Thomas Half Term Special @ Nene Valley Railway – Adults £16, Senior £13 (over 60’s), Children £8 and Family £40 – Join Thomas on his Half Term Specials as he pulls the train through the tunnel to Yarwell and back, then enjoy a little nostalgia with a trip along the picturesque Nene Valley from the comfort of our carriages, pulled behind a Steam Locomotive.

You will have a one-on-one session with our talented blacksmiths from Chain Bridge Forge. –

Saxon Time Explorers @ Peterborough Cathedral – 1pm-4pm – FREE – In the Cathedral’s 900th anniversary year, take a closer look at the Saxon era, and learn about the people who make up the Cathedral’s past. Come and join in craft activities inspired by the people who chose to build and to live at the edge of the fens – the people who founded and built our Cathedral.

Secret Agents @ Peterborough Museum – 10am-5pm(last entry 4pm) – £3 children, £4 adults, £12 families. Under 5s go free –  During World War I, both sides tried to find out secret information about the enemy. From code-cracking to spies in enemy territory there were lots of ‘tricks of the trade.’ This half term, Peterborough Museum asks – do you have what it takes to be a secret agent? Find hidden clues, decode messages, and identify friend from foe before it’s too late.

Archaeology Adventures Club @ Flag Fen – £22 per child per day, or £90 per week. Sibling discounts available. – For kids aged 8 – 12, it’s a great opportunity to get involved in fun activities, make new friends and try something new. The action-packed activity schedule will be available nearer the time. Your budding archaeologist will be able to get hands-on in the Big Dig Tent, handle artefacts, explore the Bronze Age landscape and wildlife, try new crafts and lots more!

Shaped Animals with author Sayeh Stone @ Werrington Leisure centre 10 am, Peterborough Central 12 pm- Hampton Library 2 pm –As part of Vivacity’s week of events for children during February Half Term, local author Sayeh Stone will be bringing her new book Shaped Animals to Vivacity’s Central, Werrington and Hampton libraries. There will be storytelling and craft sessions based on the book for under 5s – all of which will help teach young children about shapes and early maths. Tickets are FREE but must be strictly booked in advance – book in person at any Vivacity Library

The Family Pancake Olympics @ Peterborough Cathedral – 10am-12pm – Attention all pancake lovers! Do you fancy taking part in a crazy obstacle course and other zany challenges whilst flipping pancakes? Do you fancy having loads of fun in our Cathedral grounds and celebrating Pancake Day in the most awesome way possible? Well, what are you waiting for? Come and join us! There will be three activities – pancake flipping, pancake flinging and a pancake obstacle course. Children will complete three challenges, recording their scores/times on a leaderboard. At midday, a prize will be given to the winners of each challenge. – FREE

Wildlife Workshop @ Froglife, Broadwalks Nature Reserve, Thorpe Meadows, PE3 6GA – 10.30am-12pm -FREE – An interactive outdoor workshop offering tips, practical skills and discussions on how to make your green spaces attractive to wildlife. This session focuses on reptiles and amphibians and is suitable for all ages and abilities

We are going on a bear hunt @ Tu Danse Studios – 10am-3pm – £15 each – Ideal for children aged 4-8 years – Were going on a bear hunt by Micheal Rosen Lots of exciting things planned as we wade through the grass, splash through the river and squelch through the mud in search of a bear…..without getting wet of course ! What a surprise awaits us in the cave on the other side of the dark forest! A magical story bought to life in this fun activities workshop.

Superhero City! @ Queensgate Shopping Centre – 11am-4pm – FREE – bring your little superheroes (and villains) on an adventure to the metropolis of Superhero City, where all the goodies and baddies of the superhero world have fun. Join The Joker and his cool sidekick Superpup to test your super magic powers and become a master of disguise and make your own cape and mask. Or visit Wonder Woman at the Beauty Academy for a marvellous mini makeover; Superhero City has something for everyone this half term. Want to find out if you have what it takes to be a real superhero? Join the Superhero Games Academy where only the steadiest hand can beat the giant buzzer, use your super strength to steer the wrecking ball challenge, learn to move like a superhero in Supergirl’s Dance School, and know when your number’s up at the Batman Bingo. The fun doesn’t stop there.
