It is now that time of the year where I round up all the Christmas events that are happening during the Christmas school holidays in Peterborough and share them with you all! Christmas Workshop with Little Squigglers @ Peterborough One Retail Park 10am, 11am,12pm, 1pm- Little Squigglers Christmas workshops. Come and enjoy some creative time with your children during this busy time of year. Activities are suitable for 2 – 10 years old.

Each workshop will include decorating a ceramic tea light holder, decorating a wooden hanging ornament and a range of other Christmas crafts. Sessions are 45 minutes long. All equipment is provided including: aprons and a wash station. There will be glitter involved in these sessions, but don’t worry we do the cleaning up!

***When booking please choose your ceramic tealight holder: Christmas tree, Santa, Elf or Snowman. Payments should be made by BACS within 24hours of booking . Please include your child’s name as a payment reference.***

Cathedral Christmas Concert @ Peterborough Catherdral – 7.30pm to 9.30pm – Peterborough Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir and Festival Chorus will present a programme which includes Britten ‘A Ceremony of Carols’, accompanied on the harp and performed by candlelight.

The concert will include other well-known seasonal favourites, and familiar carols for the audience to sing along to.

Commemorative Tree Planting with PECT @ Nabs Lane –  10.30am – FREE event for all ages – This autumn, in the centenary year of the end of World War One, Peterborough residents are being given the opportunity to remember those who lost their lives by taking part in a special tree planting.

More than one thousand of the city’s men were killed during the war.

With the help of members of the public, the environmental charity PECT, through its project ‘Forest for Peterborough’, is aiming to plant 1,121 native trees in memory of the city’s servicemen.

The commemorative tree planting will take place at Nabs Lane, Peterborough, on Sunday 11th November 2018. Local residents can drop-in to the event, between 10.30am-4pm, to plant a tree or two! No prior experience is needed and all ages are welcome. All equipment is provided.

To find the planting site, simply follow the Forest for Peterborough signs through the Nabs Lane footpath that is adjacent to 87 Francis Gardens, Bluebell Avenue PE1 3XT. Car parking is available on the roadside.

Please wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear for outdoor work. Look out for the Forest for Peterborough event signs to help you find the location on the day. Please register your attendance by emailing forest@pect.org.uk.

Beauty becomes mistress of the enchanted castle and the befriends the misunderstood Beast who lavishes her with gifts. But one day Beauty breaks her promise and leaves the castle. The Beast becomes sick with heartbreak, can Beauty save him in time?

Christmas Football Camp @ Powerleague Peterborough – 10am-3pm- We know how to offer a service which will not only see your child have great fun, but also develop their skills, fitness and confidence!

Run by qualified and background checked coaches, our football camps will keep 5 to 12 year-olds on their toes from as little as £10 a day.

Camps will be running across the festive period and offer phenomenal childcare value at £50 per week, this is an incredible % cheaper than the national average – according to the Family and Childcare Trust report.

Robin Hood Pantomime! @ The Cresset – £15 Adults, Children and Concessions 2-16 and over 60s £11.50 –  2pm and 6pm – Join Robin and his merry men on a fantastic adventure as they try to rescue the beautiful Maid Marian from the dastardly Sherriff of Nottingham (boo!)

All the characters you know and love from this ever popular tale are involved, with Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck and Little John alongside our brave hero as he steals from the rich and fights for the good – he’s the man we all know as Robin Hood! Add to this the usual Premier Pantomime magic, loads of spectacular song and dance numbers, and bags of audience participation and you’ve got all the ingredients for a fantastic festive family treat. 

Christmas Football Camp @ Powerleague Peterborough – 10am-3pm- We know how to offer a service which will not only see your child have great fun, but also develop their skills, fitness and confidence!

Run by qualified and background checked coaches, our football camps will keep 5 to 12 year-olds on their toes from as little as £10 a day.

Camps will be running across the festive period and offer phenomenal childcare value at £50 per week, this is an incredible % cheaper than the national average – according to the Family and Childcare Trust report.
