Nutri fill-it

As the boys get older I am becoming more and more aware of the amount of waste they create. I am trying to cut down on the amount of waste we as a family create. When Nutri fill-it asked if we would like to try their new reusable smoothie pouch we jumped at the chance!

Nutri fill-it is designed and manufactured by Sarah Kerr. A mum who not only designs her own products but also imports other practical child products. After using other reusable pouches she soon realised not only were the design aimed for young children, but also too small. Nutri fill-it has a 320ml capacity, whereas others are around 100ml.

Nutri fill-it has a double zip lock at the bottom to help keep all liquids contained in the pouch. It also has a screw lid to keep everything air tight. The pouches last roughly 100 uses, after which it can either be recycled or returned for 30% off your next order. The pouches are BPA free, Phthalate free, PVC free and lead free. Which is great! and really reassuring knowing just safe these pouches are for little ones.

The pouches are not only great for older children to use for drinks, but you can also use pureed foods, so handy for weaning babies. Or as an alternative to yogurt pouches too!20160822_085617_wm14141823_10157306566425104_8219403301962419785_n

We have really given these pouches a real road test. We have taken them with us for days out, walks and general around the house drinking. The colours are green, blue and pink. The boys chose their own colours Jack blue, Oliver pink and Arthur green. 14117897_10157265759860104_6670311332311484526_n

Although the pouches are big, when frozen they can double as an icepack within packed lunches so will help keep everything cool. We used banana milkshake in ours, as well as Strawberry and Banana smoothie (our personal favourite!)

Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

1 x Sliced Banana

8 x Cut strawberries

1 cup of milk,

2 tablespoons of apple juice

and around 6 ice cubes

all in a blender to create a really smooth smoothie 🙂 Store in fridge until you fancy a quick refreshing drink!

What we think!

Overall, we are in love! These have become our go to drink pouches when we leave the house. We prepare the day before and depending on the weather we either freeze or fridge ready for the morning. The boys love using the pouches. They are really simple to clean, you can use a dishwasher (We don’t have one, but the website says you can use the top shelf) We simply open and rinse through with warm soapy running water.

We were sent the pouches in exchange for a review. All opinions are our own.

What a great idea! I love that you know exactly what you are putting into the drinks and that they save on waste x

These look really good and are a great size. I think they would be perfect for packed lunches and snacks for school.

I’ve never heard of this but it sounds like an amazing idea, I think that every family should reduce the amount of waste and reusable bottle and containers are perfect for this.

These look great – I have had the tiny ones for Pickle when he was younger, but love these for older children – and even my teens! Kaz x
