Super Ski Jump – Can you perform the ultimate trick! – The Mum Diaries

Jack has recently been sent a really great looking game from Drumond Park. We recently reviewed Wally the Washer and all 3 of the boys loved it! This time the game we were sent was more suited for Jack. Aimed at children 8+ Ski Jump is all about performing tricks and getting the highest score!

What’s in the box

Ski Jump

Super Ski Jump requires a little assembly before use. All the parts are really easy to put together and on first use there is a big sticker sheet to apply. I cheated and quickly googled where I should be placing them, as although the instruction manual tells you, I had no idea which way the colours went.

The game is best played on the floor! It does take up space when put together but with the aim of the game to perform tricks you want to be as close to floor as possible! We first played with it on the table and the dude in the bath tub flew off the edge and ended up behind the shelving unit!

Another thing to note, although the game says it is suitable for 8+ younger children could play too! Once set up it was something Arthur and Oliver could play with (with supervision) aswell!

The Aim of the game

Ski Jump

The aim of the game is to score the most points! Each character and there are 4, each use a different mode of transport ; Bathtub, ski’s, snowboard and sledge. You place your chosen character on the red “start” and when you are ready you turn the knob at the bottom. When your chosen character reaches a certain point you press down on the lever causing it to jump in the air with the hope of it performing a trick.

Ski Jump

The more twists and turns the more points, going under the banner and you get even more points! Points are allocated for lots of different things! Included with the game is a score chart to mark your scores and tally up the end results! It is a super fast paced game and Jack loved it!

Ski Jump

Our thoughts

Super Ski Jump is a great game to play with a group of 2-4 players or to be honest you could play with it on your own. Jack loved playing around with each of the different pieces. It is pretty much safe to say his favourite was the bath tub! Super Ski Jump is available from Smyths Toys and other toy retailers with an RRP of Β£19.99. It is refreshing to see a game which doesn’t require batteries and it all packs away really easy too!
