The boys love anything interactive! Recently we were given the opportunity to review Shreddy, a bunny from the Zoomer Hungry Bunnies range of toys. Something I know Oliver (7) and Arthur (4) would absolutely love!
Shreddy – Zoomer Hungry Bunnies
Shreddy arrived and the boys were super excited to get her out and play. Once we took her out of the box and popped in 3xAA batteries we turned her on. Her eyes immediately lit up and she came to life! Shreddy is of course interactive so by touching her belly and petting her head she responds and makes some really sweet happy sounds. If you leave her for a few moments she starts to coo, giggle or her tummy rumbles. This means she wants some attention and you have to figure out what it is she wants. If you get it right she responds by making a happy sound, get it wrong and you get an angry grunt!
One of the big features of the Zoomer Hungry Bunnies is feeding. Each bunny in the range come with 4 sheets of ready made snacks as well as a template to make some more. To feed the bunnies just pop out a snack from the sheet and feed it into their mouth. Be careful not to push the whole piece in as you could get a little paper jam. If you get a paper jam, then turn them upside down and pat their back. It should help to move any pieces of paper stuck.
The bunnies will let you know when they are hungry, if you try and feed when they don’t want food then they eat slower. If the bunnies are hungry when you feed then they eat quickly and giggle and their ears and hands move. And of course what goes in, must come out. After a feed and to make them feel happy again pat their belly and they will leave a pile of paper confetti behind them.
Another feature the boys loved with Shreddy was the games! Oliver loved playing the “Tickle Game”. By pressing and holding the nose and belly at the same time you activate the game. The aim of the game was to tickle Shreddy until she made a “WEEEEE” sound then you had to stop! IF you continued to tickle she makes a losing sound but if you managed to stop in time she makes a winning sound. If you 3 rounds then you win!! However you have to go back into the Tickle Game mode after 3 rounds regardless of winning or losing. But if you wanted to leave then by pressing the nose it exits the game.
Another game the boys really likes was the Music Game. To enter the Music Game you have to press and hold the head and nose at the same time. When the game starts Shreddy started to play a song and wiggling. The boys were able to add different sounds by patting her head or her belly!
Shreddy is £29.99 and is available from most toy retailers and also has a friend called Chewy!
