The weather has started to get colder and my poor feet are suffering. Living in a house with laminate flooring and no underfloor heating can take it’s toll on my toes. Luckily Mark and I were sent a pair of Heat Holder Socks to try. With Mark outside in all weathers working for 6 hours a day his feet really do suffer. So he was really excited to receive them a pair of Thermal Socks from Heat Holders. A lovely pair in Forest Green colour. I received a pair of slipper socks in a lavender colour.
Mark was so excited to try his out that straight away he took them out of the packaging. I am not actually sure what we were both expecting. I do know however it wasn’t what we received. The quality in these socks are just fab! You can see the thickness on the inside. It far exceeded our expectations. Mark really did have such high hopes, he has tried a variety of other brands but nothing actually lived up to it’s name. These however do!
So are they warm?
Absofluffylutley ( Yes, Yes they are warm) They are made using advanced insulating yarn and using innovative knitting technology it produces a unique extra long looped pile. Which basically means it can hold in more warm air. Then finally using an intense brushing process it maximised the amount of warm air held within the sock. Making it lovely and cosy without it being too warm and sweaty.
Here is Heat Holders explaining more about the science. They can explain a whole lot better than I could.
With a wide range of products it isn’t just your feet now that can feel the benefit of their technology. Vests, long johns, Gloves, hats and neck warmers. Your whole body can literally be covered head to toe!
Now, my socks. I was sent a lovely pair of slipper socks. I do own a pair of slippers but they are getting worn and to be honest I am just waiting on Mark to buy me a new pair. The slipper socks have slip resistant grips on the sole making them suitable to wear on their own around the house. Works great on the aforementioned laminate flooring. With the same tog rating as Marks (2.3) My feet are just as cosy. I know these are slipper socks but I must admit I wore them whilst walking around the supermarket to do my shopping ( My feet get really cold so sometimes I like to treat them) and despite the extra thickness I managed to get my boots on. Although I do think a pair of wellington boots would be better.
Do we like them?
Overall we are impressed. Mark more so but that’s just because now for 1 day out of the week (until we buy more) his feet are warm and he no longer has to worry about the condition of his feet.
Thank you Heat Holders for sending us 2 pairs of Thermal socks to review. Photos and opinions are of course my own. The Video is from Heat Holders.
