Buying for boys can be tricky, buying for 8 year old boys and it turns into somesort of minefield! Jack is my inspiration for this gift guide and all is approved by him! Sit back, grab a coffee (or tea, squash or whatever!) and check out my 5 gift ideas. Well our 5 gift ideas!
Gift Guide for 8 year old boys
A drone controlled by using hand gestures! It is a little tricky to learn how to control it, but loads of fun! We flew it around our lounge until Jack became confident enough to fly it outside. But it has been really windy and as the quadcopter drone is super lightweight we were worried it would fly off! Jack loves performing stunts on the drone and it is super easy to do with the stunt feature on the hand control. It takes 30 mins (approx) to charge and you get 5-8 minutes continuous flight!
Jack at the moment is obsessed with Minecraft and it is probably safe enough to say most 8-year-olds are! The Boxhead Craft T-shirt is a plain white t-shirt with a grid printed for the child to create whatever masterpiece they desire. Jack originally wanted to colour in the creeper but we didn’t have that many shades of green fabric pens. Instead, he decided to draw his own design. He loves wearing his t-shirt with pride!
Designed and created by artist Helen Russell, the Batman and Robin eggcups are a great gift for lovers of dippy eggs! Each egg cup is hand decorated and also uses screen printing to attacht eh decals onto each of the fine bone china egg cup. They are sent in a beautiful box and packaged lovely to ensure a safe delivery.
It can’t really be a birthday gift list if i don’t include lego! Jack is obsessed (as is his 2 younger brothers) and their collection is somewhat growing. The Lego Ninjago range have been re-released and improved for the upcoming release of the movie! Destiny’s Bounty is a beautiful ship and this set comes with all the ninjas including Ninja and Sensai Wu!
So slight disclaimer here Jack doesn’t own a pair of Heely’s BUT if he had his way he would probably own the entire collection. “Mum this are a must!” I think they are pretty nifty and can certainly help you get around quickly! and yes, they do them in adult sizes too!
*I was sent a couple of items to feature into my gift guide! All opinions are our own*
