Dr. Beckmann Review and **Giveaway**

As a mum of 3 little boys laundry falls pretty high on my daily to do list. As much as I hate doing laundry (who does?) if I want clean clothes it has to be done. I was recently asked if I would like to try out a selection of Dr. Beckmann products already being familiar with the brand I couldn’t wait! The products arrived and I couldn’t wait.

Dr. Beckmann

One thing you should know about me is I like to just chuck everything in the wash together. Including my whites! This means that my whites go grey and I am reluctant to wear it again. My fault I should separate them from the rest of my laundry. If I am honest I just don’t have the time to sit there and go through them all. Something I think I should change though!

Glowhite Ultra

I couldn’t wait to get started with this! Dr. Beckmann’s Glowhite Ultra! on the pack it says it restores lost whiteness and works by bringing Whites back to life!

So I went through the house and collected all the whites I could find. There isn’t that many as I tend not to buy whites but I found enough to do the job.

In this box you get 2 satchets. For a big load you would use both satchets at the same time but as this isn’t I only used one. The Satchets dissolve in the machine too so you pop it all into the machine.

The instructions say to place it at the back of the machine on top of your clothes.

Then you just add your normal detergent along side the sachet.

The results?

Well I am really impressed! My tops have come back a lot whiter than they were when they went in. 1 top still has a slight grey tinge to it, but 100% better than it did when it went in. I am so impressed with this one. I was going to add a photo but the lighting isn’t that great. We were really quite sceptical to be honest. I have used products who have made this claim before and it didn’t work. But this did!

Dr. Beckmann colour and dirt collector

I am no novice when it comes to these. Having used another brand before I know how great these are. I couldn’t wait to see how these fair. Like I said previously I am a chuck in and wash together kind of girl so these help to prevent colour runs. My one hate is when washing jeans with clothes and the denim colours.

You put a microfiber sheet in with each wash and that’s it! It works by using innovative microfiber technology which provides the best colour protection.

and the results after? Photo speaks for itself!

Service-it – Deep Clean – Dishwasher Cleaner

As we don’t have a dishwasher and I still wanted to review the cleaner I passed it over to my sister Tasha over at Mummy and Moose to review. Here is what she had to say about it-

With 3 children, a Husband and a propensity to use a bare minimum of every single pot and pan in the kitchen while doing my best Nigella impression it comes as little surprise that the dishwasher is used at least once a day in our house. So when my sister blogger Jaymee from The Mum Diaries asked me to have a go at using Dr Beckmann Service It Deep Clean Dishwasher Cleaner, I was all too happy to oblige.

The cleaner comes in two parts. The first is the form of a bag of powder and the second is a handy wipe. There is one single use per box. Dr Beckmann Service It Deep Clean Dishwasher Cleaner claims to eliminate 99.9% of micro- organisms and bacteria leaving your dishwasher hygienically clean and smelling fresh.

The instructions are very simple. Use the wipe to clean around the seal and to relieve the inside of the door of any dirt and then pour the powder into the cleaning compartment and use as you would on a normal wash. I did point out that it was simple enough for my husband or indeed my two older children to use but as suspected, I didn’t get any takers.

Although it looked clean enough when the dishwasher cycle had finished our dishwasher wasn’t particularly grimy to begin with so personally I didn’t really notice a change until the following day when I came to load her up and I have to admit, the dishwasher did smell much fresher!

I would buy Dr Beckmann Service It Deep Clean Dishwasher Cleaner again. It did the job without any complications and it’s always nice to know that your pipes are clean!

Stain Devils – Survival Kit – Stain Remover

The pack contains 3 different bottles each treat different stains. Blue, Red and Orange. Each colour targets different stains and can an amazing 40 different types! This couldn’t have arrived at a better time, we have recently been hit with a horrible sickness bug. and despite washing our favourite cookie monster top. It is still stained!

So we decided to put Dr. Beckmanns stain remover to the test.

20161120_145651 20161120_145748

It is slightly better but I think It would need more of an intensive removal. You can use the Stain Remover and use it for a deep soak.

We were also given the Colour run remover but as the Colour and Dirt collector sheet and Glow-white had done such a fab job we haven’t had the need to use it yet. I will update the review once we have.

** I was given the products in exchange for this review, all photos and opinions are my own **

I Like to think I’m a perfectionist when it comes to clothes washing, from a small child I’d always help my Nan do the weekly laundry by using her twin tub. My Nan was very particular with her washing, everything was put into certain piles & I have to say, she was very proud to display her washing on the line.
I think I must have got all my washing habits from her as I’m very ocd when it comes to my washing.
