Last day of school! – Breaking up for Feb Half Term!

Tomorrow the boys break up from school and I can not wait. I love having the home with me and half terms is something we all look forward too! This one, in particular, is going to be great because Mark has the week off! Recently school has been a little tiring for them especially Oliver. He is only in his second year and I think he is starting to flitter a little. I would love to be able to just keep him at home for a couple of weeks. I am also mindful of not overdoing the days out next week too! They need time to recuperate and relax! although saying that it is only what, 6 weeks until the Easter holidays when they go back. If you are local to Peterborough and looking for things to do next week then make sure to check out the What’s On guide here.

On the school runs during the last week we were concentrating on learning about Road Safety. It is something we have been instilling into the boys since they were old enough to walk outside. Using the stop, look, listen, look technique the boys are becoming really aware. We have a few quiet roads that sometimes gets really busy, you never know when. It has caught the boys out a few times, thankfully though I haven’t let them cross until I check. Rachel from Kids, Cuddles and Muddy Puddles wrote a great piece about road safety for under fives here.

Last child free day!

So today is my last child-free day until they go back to school and I am spending the morning with the lovely team at The Body Shop in Queensgate helping them with their latest campaign. #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting It is something I am particularly interested in, I love animals and I really don’t see the point in using and harming them for testing. I am really looking forward to seeing what they can do for me and also get to know their products as I admit I am a LUSH girl. I wonder if they can convert me?

On Tuesday Arthur was given the preschool’s bear to take home and we don’t have to return him until after the holidays. Toby is a beautiful bear from Hamley’s and Arthur hasn’t really put him down. We took him with us to Grandad’s yesterday and he couldn’t wait to show him off! I am trying to take as many photo’s as I can so we can really document our week with him. I may even start a #TobyTravels hashtag what do you think?
