Our day at Open Farm Sunday – Park Farm Thorney

For the past few years we have visited Park Farm Thorney to take part in Open Farm Sunday. Every year farms up and down the country open their gates to the general public. LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) organise the open day to give everyone the opportunity to discover what it means to be a farmer. It is a great way to get behind the scenes information on a working farm and to learn where our food comes from. Not just from animals but also the crops.

Park Farm Thorney has grown each year and there is always something new too! This year there was the opportunity to make bread, butter and sausages! And to visit the various crops on the trailer ride. You can also pick your own potatoes too!
