Week 2 – Mark is home and our meals are all back to front!

Last week our meal plan was somewhat successful. There was only one day where we decided to order takeaway instead of having the planned Toad in the hole. I love meal planning although sometimes I just don’t want to eat what I have planned. So we are pretty flexible and as long as the dates on the food are okay, we eat what we fancy from the plan.

Because of how I write these meal plans (it is currently Thursday) the beginning of the week has already happened! I bought this week’s shopping on Monday and it was all planned out. However if you follow me on social media you will already know that on Tuesday I joined Slimming World. It was so out of the blue! As the meals were already bought this week there isn’t much I can do, than make sure I add as much salad as I can.

Monday

Steak, Chips and Salad –  This is our go-to meal for special occasions. We don’t have it often, however, thanks to our Christmas food hamper we managed to freeze the steaks we received.

In the evening we were at my sisters’ house. it is my nieces 13th birthday so went to celebrate. My sister made burgers and hot dogs!

Tuesday

Jacket Potatoes, cheese and beans (Tuna for me) – This is one of our most underrated dishes. Most of the time I am not in the mood to eat it, however, once it is ready, I love it. The boys are not keen and we have a lot of wasted potatoes. Just so happened to have been Slimming World friendly too!

Sandwiches – Jack and Oliver both have a love of Tuna at the moment, and even Arthur says he likes it. So whilst they are all enjoying it, they had Tuna and Cucumber Sandwiches.

Wednesday

Pulled Pork with Chips and Salad – Totally cheating at this and bought the ready-made version from Aldi. It ust so happens to be very high in syns in regards to Slimming World. I pretty much doubled my use of Syns!

Pasta and Hotdogs – The boys love pasta and are more than happy to just eat plain pasta with cheese. We chop hot dogs and add pasta and sweetcorn too.

Thursday

Chicken, Rice and Veg -Very slimming world friendly too!

Beans/Spaghetti/Cheese on Toast – Depending on which topping they would like will depend on what they eat.

Friday

Bangers and Mash – This is one of those meals I am not entirely sure about. Mark mentioned he wanted to eat it which is why I included it in the meal plan. It isn’t one of my favourite meals though.

Homemade Pizza – Kicking off the weekend with pizza! The boys love making their own pizza, complete with homemade dough too!

Saturday

We have a free day! We haven’t meal planned for this day. Depending on what happens during the week will determine what we have. I have my eyes on trying the chip shop near me which has recently been taken over!

Sunday

Roast Beef Sunday Dinner! need I say more?

    Good luck with Slimming World.
    Jacket potatoes cheese and beans is so underrated! I have to be in the mood to eat it too but when I am I love it!

    Good luck with the slimming world hopefully it works for you. I agree sometimes there is nothing better than a jacket potato is so underrated.
