#blogtober16 – Day 12 – What’s in your handbag?

20161012_213232 My handbag 🙂

The best part about your children growing older is that you no longer have to cart their bits around. Arthur is nearly 3 and we are encouraging him to use the toilet as often as possible. This means however I don’t need to pack as many nappies for when we go out.Good bye changebag hello Backpack! I am not really a handbag kinda girl I much prefer my backpack.

Being a busy mum I don’t always have time to do hair and make up. This means I am also not carting make up and hair slides/clips either.

Here are 5 items I have in my bag –

1)  Nappy/Wipes and Wetbag – When going out I tend to choose Gnappies as my nappy of choice. I take a full prepped nappy (a pant, pouch and inserts) plus a spare pouch and inserts. This is equivalent of 2 nappies. I also take a wetbag to put the dirty nappies in, and some cloth wipes.

2) I also take another wetbag out with me. I take some ibuprofen and paracetmol as you never know. A bottle of water and a brioche as a snack for Arthur. A tub of Cjs balm I use on dry skin and some Antibacterial handgel. Also Tissues.

 3) My Bullet journal and some pens. If I can grab a couple of minutes then it helps me to stay organised. Also if I need to jot something down I know I have some paper handy to do so.
 4) I barely have time to brush my hair in the mornings! I always take a spare hair bubble and/or hair clip. It just means I can look somewhat presentable. Especially on the school run.
5) And last but not least, my purse. How else can I buy my coffee? And my phone, I can’t take a photo of it, as I was using it for the photos!

I love reading these and seeing how similar is mums are! It’s great once you’ve got your wee one 100% toilet trained, you will be amazed at how small a bag you are able to carry around. It’s like luxury! Lol!

Ahh! The days of carrying everything but the kitchen sink. I actually miss having a changing bag.
