#Blogtober17 – Day 11 – Kitchen

Day 11 in the blogtober series (see what I did there? all big brother like) and todays theme is Kitchen. I have no idea which direction to take this point. I swear Mandi at HexMum (who created the series) is secretly laughing her head off!

Kitchen

Anyways I suppose I can show you my kitchen, well parts of it as it rather cluttered. I always wanted a big kitchen which is more showroom than dump room. With 3 kids though and me (self confessed Hoarder) it is difficult to throw some things away. In our old house our kitchen was tiny, you couldn’t fit a table and chairs in there, and cooking as couple was off limits. We hated it! When we moved into this house the kitchen was huge! and for awhile it solved all our storage problems. Then things happen, school, work and life happens and I am back wanting a larger kitchen.

Kitchen

To give you an idea on how small our previous one was then imagine line from the open top cupboard to where the cup is on the breakfast bar. Within that space (near the window) was the size. This kitchen is 4 times the size!!

I don’t mind sharing these photos as I have the excuse of just literally moving in for all the clutter.

The one thing i would change with this kitchen is; I wish there was enough room under the worktop for my tumble dryer, I would also remove the radiator and get underfloor heating. I could then kit out that side of the kitchen with units and can enclose the fridge freezer. I would probably remove the breakfast bar too, maybe have a freestanding unit in the center instead.

I must admit coming to the end of this post, it has kind of giving me the push to get it clutter free. I

Are you happy with your kitchen? What would you change?

I would love a kitchen as big as yours!
Ours is a really narrow kitchen and it’s not very long. We have the kitchen in the living room next to the kitchen as there isn’t enough room…lol

Oh bless you! I don’t think I would cope with a small kitchen now.

Our kitchen is smallish, especially once you’ve factored in a dining table, nappy bin, recycling bin, laundry basket (we still change the little one downstairs and have given up on trying to get our 5 year old to take her socks back upstairs to put in the laundry!) and so on. I’d love a bit more space. But then I’d only fill it!!

That’s the issue isn’t it? I dreamed of a kitchen my size and now we have filled it!
