We have passed the half way mark of the summer and so far enjoyed every moment. We of course had moments where I felt that school couldn’t come sooner. However the days we have had, have far outweighed those! A lot of our summer so far have been spent outdoors either visiting our local country park or at playparks. If you are struggling for some inspiration on what to do with the rest of the summer then you are in the right place!
90 days of summer with Germolene
Germolene are celebrating 90 years of being an essential piece of First aid kit. Germolene is a great help to reduce pain and to help prevent infection. As well as treating stings, insect bites, burns and blisters. So in celebration they have produced a pretty nifty guide putting together 90 of some of the best parent recommended outdoor play ideas! One for each day of the summer holidays. The guide has different sections to make it easier to find more suitable ideas; Home, Park, Beach, Holiday and there is one for Grandparents too!
The guide has been put together with the help of Child Psychologist Emma Kenny and Survivial Consultant and adventurer Megan Hine. At the beginning of the guide there is a little key chart which helps to identify activities which are; suitable for wet weather, Great for those short of time and activities which involve a cost. There are 9 sections all bursting with some fantastic ideas as well as useful tips and info from Emma and Megan, such as;
“The Great thing about the outdoors is that is one of the only things in life that is free. There are green spaces within a close commute to most of us and you can have a great time in nature without expensive toys.” Emma Kenny
I can’t wait to go through some of these activities with the boys, you can download your own guide here and share your photos using the #GermoleneOutdoorPlay
