10 reasons to be happy! – International Day of Happiness

Always late to the game, but always there at least! Yesterday was International Day of Happiness and thank you to my sister Tasha at Mummy & Moose, I am sharing my 10 reasons to be happy and tagging some more bloggers to write their 10 reasons to be happy post.

I think it is pretty obvious I would choose my children. My boys make me happy. When they are happy and together playing it makes me incredibly happy. When they are fighting and screaming not soo much.

10 reasons to be happy

He is literally the best thing to ever happen to me. I can go on and on about how I feel about him. We were married less than a year of knowing each other and this year celebrate 8 years! I still get butterflies when I think of him and I am still madly in love with him. He is the greatest dad in the world! even though sometimes he can get frustrated. He is always there from the minute he walks in the door to the minute he goes to bed. I am so so thankful to have him in our lives!!

I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I love that we are all still close despite having our ups and downs. No matter what we are there and that is the most important thing!

my big brother Stephen, me, my brother in law, my big sister Tasha, My big sister Jo and my baby brother Andy.

Nieces and Nephews

I have 11 in total! Each one makes me happy. The oldest of the bunch turns 16 on April 1st (No Jokes!) and I can still remember the trips to my sister’s house to see them both. I remember being 11 and seeing him they day he was born. I was so happy to become an Aunty and no matter what that boy will always hold a special place in my heart!

I don’t have a specific music taste but I love anything I can sing along too. I spent my entire childhood convinced I was going to marry either Stephen Gately (yup!), Kurt Cobain or Erik-Michael Estrada from O-Town. When I was about 8 or 9 I discovered Eminem and became a little too obsessed! I loved him!

Now days it’s the likes of Combichrist, Rammstein, Linkin park, Slipknot, Birthday Massacre that I listen too frequently. Nothing like a good head bang to clear the mind!

I love food! I am fat and that is because I love food! No point in beating around the bush.

Children’s books in particular! I love reading to the boys and I really hope that they pick up on my love of books too! When I found out I was pregnant with Jack each month I would buy a set of books and by the time he was born we had already filled a bookcase. Now we have books bursting out the seems! So much we decided we would give some away!

Opening the first page of a brand new note book and the feel of the crisp white sheets within is something I will never tire off! I love stationary and love collecting it! Anything from Washi Tape to Pens to Notebooks and folders!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say it! Money makes me happy! I love being able to treat my family to gifts and buy stuff. It really doesn’t matter what I buy (because let’s face it, it isn’t for me) but being able to share gifts out makes me happy.

Cloth Nappies

I am pretty sad that I love cloth nappies. Since discovering them with Oliver when is around 4 months old I have used them ever since. Arthur has never had a disposable on his bum and I am proud of that! I loved buying all the different prints and displaying them on a shelf for all to see. I loved them so much that I started a non profit nappy library promoting cloth nappies in my local area. Something which remains so close to my heart!

We’ve not actually tried cloth nappies yet… I might speak to my wife about it… We’ve used disposables, both normal and pull-ups, and found that normal ones were best… But maybe cloth could be better.

Try them! If I remember your local to me? So you could make use of my nappy library which is free to hire 🙂
